Footings / Foundations

A footing is the lowest, strongest supported layer of a structure. Footings are also known as shallow foundations, which are embedded above a metre into the soil itself. The reason we do this is because it transfers the weight from the walls and columns to the soil or bedrock.

The size of the structure, would affect the size of the footing you would need. The larger the structure, the deeper the footing would need to be.

We also focus on concrete slab services, as when we construct buildings using concrete slabs, we usually lay them above a layer of insulation to keep the home running efficiently. This also makes it possible to include underfloor heating pipes in your home.

When moling is not possible then trenching would be the next option. This is the process of digging long "trenches" to install underground pipes, wires or structural supports. These are also quite similar to footings. When it comes to trenching, we use diggers, increasing efficieny and minimising the time spent completing the project, whilst saving you money in the process.

Depending on the size of the structure, would depend how large you would need to dig your trenches. The larger the structure, the deeper the trenches would need to be, in order to support the whole structure.

Drainage is the natural or artificial removal of surface or sub-surface water from an area. Many agricultural soils need drainage to improve production or to manage water supplies. Some of the services that we offer are; Drain Unblocking, Drain Repairs, Watermain Repairs and Tanker Services.

Driveways / Patios

Installing Driveways and Patios is another form of groundworks we do. We will pull up your old previous surface, deep enough to install the foundations and lay the patio or driveway ontop. We have a wide range of styles available, for more information, please contact us or view our Patio Installation or Driveway Installation page.
